Goodbye, cowboy rock star ankle boots

Its not your fault you're leaving me. I just could t stand the lack of shoe storage situation any longer. I kept finding shoes that I FORGOT I owned and that's just ridiculous. I also found that I was splitting wears; there were other shoes I'd rather have worn, but I felt guilty for leaving you untouched in the closet. That was unfair to you and my other shoes, so I'm passing you on in Hope's that you find a home that will appreciate you and wear you out of love rather than obligation.

Oh Cindy please no! I *love* those. In fact have just bought something online this weekend as my third attempt at on-line flattish black booties with a Western vibe, hope it will be third time lucky.
As we are also building a house though, and I don't want to shift unworn/unused stuff unless very sentimental, I understand :(

I agree with Jenni- find a spot- really...... there has got to be a pair of old trainers that can go instead

  • JAileen replied 6 years ago

Yes, you really need to keep these, and wear them.

Dangit, y'all gonna make me go get the shoes out of the donate pile in my truck LOL

Jenni, I do like a western style boot, especially with a pointy toe :-D

efbgen, no, there are not any old trainers that can go. The closest I would have to that is my haircalf hi-top sneaker hybrids, and "ask Angie" about those has convinced me to keep them around. I'll just have to make room for these somehow, at least until we get moved into the new house.

JAileen, ok. If one person tells me that I'm a monkey with a tail, then I can probably ignore it. If two people tell me that, I need to at least consider it. If three people tell me that I'm a monkey with a tail, I guess it's time for me to start peeling bananas with my toes while I swing from a tree branch by my tail LOL

Hi Cindy! I am the fourth person - loving theses boots! Please keep ....

Oh Cindysmith, I agree with everyone else and think that these need to be kept. They have got to be a classic I would have thought?

Please can we help with the shoe storage situation at all? How are you storing your shoes? Is there a space saving measure that we can offer?

  • Mainelady replied 6 years ago

If you feel you must part with them, give them a fitting send off by wearing them for a week first. Show them some love and only then, if they are still space hogs, show them the door.

  • Amy Isabella replied 6 years ago

Oh, I agree, please keep them :)

  • cindysmith replied 6 years ago

I'm still living in the RV until the house is finished, so storage is basically non-existent until we finish the house. This is why I love YLF.
I've been making so many decisions (it's shocking how many decisions, the house is fairly small so you'd think it would be simpler) and you guys have been a very valuable source of help. If this many people think I should keep them then I will keep them :-)

  • Greyscale replied 6 years ago

Yes keep them! I have been scouring the stores for boots like this. They're trendy this year.

I'm heading to a 12 step meeting in honor of the last day I used (which was 13 years ago today), and you guys have won. Here's what I'm wearing on my feets
