Goodbye, cold arm sweater

Cold arm sweater, you were weird, and I liked that about you. It was a different way to look at the cold shoulder trend, and I was there for it. I like the way the sleeves looked like they had been ripped in a fight.

Unfortunately, the crew neck was too small. It barely fit over my head, and it constantly felt like it was choking me.

It's time to say goodbye, cold arm sweater. Hopefully your neckline won't be too tight for the next person that takes you home.

Cindy, I love your farewell posts! This seems like such a great strategy for letting go of beloved items.

And too-small crewnecks -- this is such an annoying fit problem. I have a relatively small head and neck, so whenever I try something on that feels too tight in the collar I'm like, "What were they thinking?!"

I bet you could DIY a slash-sleeve sweater...

Ooh, I hadn't even thought of that, LaPed <3 you're brilliant!

Such a pity as it looks pretty funky. Ah well. Onwards and upwards.

Too bad it's a sweater and not a knit tee.  I sometimes cut the crew necks off tees and make them into V-necks.

That's funny! It was a great color! I've been seeing "cold wrist" tops. What? Now they really look like they got in a fight.

I am not happy about the prevalence of closer crew necks, as my larger frame and bust is far more flattered by modest scoop necks!  Still, I see a lot of women on the forum who make them look terrific!  I probably wouldn't have been able to get it over my noggin!

I said goodbye to one of these, too! So funny that you liked how it looked like the sleeves had been ripped in a fight! Mine was black sweatshirt material and I liked that the sleeves had the look of Long opera gloves. Talk about different interpretations!! Haha. But in any event ultimately just better on my daughter, who frequently gets my more experimental pieces.
