Good bye, edgy flats, I can't let you hurt me anymore

These were a wonderful addition to my shoe rotation. Basic black with a twist. The pointed toe & metallic studs on the vamp and toe box were edgy cool enough to make me order you. For a while, you performed fairly valiantly, but when I wore you all day you failed utterly.

You gave me a blister on my big toe.

I'm not the kind of person who ever needs what Angie calls "sitting shoes", so I can't justify letting you take up space in my closet. I have to pass you on to someone who can use some "sitting shoes".

I appreciate your efforts to serve me well, but I can't forgive the blister. I refuse to wear shoes that hurt my feet. I hope you find a home that appreciates your cool factor.

    How sad... but wise!

I don't have space for taxi shoes either.

    Lovely shoes and good decision!

    Your feet deserve comfy shoes.

I don’t remember my feet being as sensitive in my 20s as they are today, twenty years past my 20s. Then again, I hadn’t had two kids and the need for sensible shoes in order to keep up with them. My feet (among other areas) widened after each pregnancy, and my doc said that usually doesn’t reverse itself!

I digress though. These shoes are so stylish but good on you for letting them go. I have a hard time letting go of things I really wanted to make work!

Oh, I totally commiserate with this. I've learned to ve pretty brutal when it comes to shoe fit/comfort over the last few years. I'm sure there are comfy flats out there with your name on them!

I have some olive green flats that can hit the road with yours, cindy!

You deserve shoes you can walk and stand all day in.  Shoes be gone.

  • Jane replied 2 years ago

Glad you put your foot down and gave these shoes their marching orders. Good call.

Begone blister makers!Only comfy shoes from now on.

While the shoes may have been cool...blisters are not.
Wisdom brings happy feet...or is it the other way around?
    Either way-smart move.

I agree no unhappy feet but before you get rid of them you might try talking to a good cobbler in your area, they can work miracles. They are very cute shoes.

The title says it all...wise words!

Your feet are much more important than cool shoes.  Off they go.

  • Mainelady replied 2 years ago

Yes. Smart move. Your feet deserve better.

  • Bijou replied 2 years ago

Beautiful shoes that will make the right foot happy. You deserve to live blister free.

  • Windchime replied 2 years ago

You are making some really wise wardrobe calls lately! Too bad when shoes are both gorgeous and impractical.

  • Cee replied 2 years ago

I can't forgive blister inducing footwear either.

...I'd sooner wear an itchy cowlneck !

  • JAileen replied 2 years ago

It’s too bad because they’re cool looking.

So Angie's miracle worker Body Glide doesn't work? I now swear by the stuff.

I'm so sad for you! I don't want blisters either but I'm in love with your flats.
Mind you, I give my love to shoes fairly easily as you may have figured out x

    Been there! Am there!
So much fashion love is given to pointy toes, and I even can tell I like that look to really “ make” some outfits but they are terrible for my feet. I saved one soft leather pair for “ maybe” some events but put it in a holding zone. Maybe they should go...
